The academic year at Chulalongkorn University is divided into two distinct semesters, the First Semester and the Second Semester, each spanning approximately 15 weeks. The semesters are separated by winter and summer breaks, and enrollment in classes is required for both semesters. The summer session is an optional time for students to further their education.
